Join us Tuesday, June 25th from 5 - 8pm as the man himself, the Great Bambino of the art world, Mr. Michael Birawer, installs his 10 foot tall masterpiece, Millennium Park - Chicago right here at The Michael Birawer Gallery in Downtown Seattle. This work of art combines sculpture with painting; a defining work from a humble genius. It stands over 10 feet tall and protrudes 3 feet from the wall.
In 2008, Millennium Park was Michael’s largest, most complex piece ever created to date. The cathedral-like piece toured all over the city of Chicago with multiple institutes asking to host it, if even for a brief stay. O’Hare International Airport was among that group, and though the piece would have looked phenomenal in the airport, the piece ended up being too large with its acrylic protective casing. In 2014, Millennium Park made its way home to the original Michael Birawer Gallery in Minneapolis, MN where it was permanently installed. Until Now.
During installation, guests are encouraged to take photos, ask questions, and meet the artist in person. Sadly, Michael will leave us the next day to fly home to Minneapolis, but Millennium Park will reside here in The Emerald City for years to come. You won’t want to miss this historic event!
